Yakuza: Like a Dragon

(Japanese: 龍が如く7 光と闇の行方, Hepburn: Ryū ga Gotoku 7: Hikari to Yami no Yukue, "Like a Dragon 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness") is an upcoming role-playing game[a] developed and published by Sega for the PlayStation 4? It is the eighth main release in the Yakuza series, and is set to be released in Japan on January 16, 2020[1] and worldwide later that year. Featuring a replacement protagonist and a change in gameplay genre, Yakuza: sort of a Dragon are often considered a soft reboot of the series.[2]

For the primary time within the Yakuza series, the main target shifts far away from Tokyo and therefore the game's fictional recreation of Kabukichō called Kamurocho. Instead, most of the gameplay takes place in the Yokohama district of Isezaki Ijincho,[3][4] which is based on Yokohama's real-life Isezakichō district. However, Kamurocho, and therefore the Osaka district Sotenbori (another area from previous Yakuza games, supported the real-life Dōtonbori district), are going to be featured within the game.[3] Yakuza: sort of a Dragon is also the primary main game to not have Kazuma Kiryu as its protagonist, introducing the new character Ichiban Kasuga instead. Sega has described Kasuga as being much more outspoken and emotive than Kiryu.[5]

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z has been during a good place since last year's excellent Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Bandai Namco is trying to stay the streak alive with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. This isn't a straight-up fighter: Kakarot breaks out of the fighting game genre and lets players explore the planet, playing through an honest chunk of Goku's life (yes, again). It's an action-RPG, which isn't a primary for Dragon Ball games, but few of them have made their thanks to PC, then far Kakarot seems like a fun one.

Here's everything we know so far about Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

What is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s release date?

Bandai Namco announced that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is releasing January 16, 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It's possible this isn't the international release date, so check back in here in case the day changes.

Gods & Monsters:

Since the Ubisoft E3 2019 showcase rounded off with an announcement trailer for a replacement Gods & Monsters game, we've haven't seen far more of 1 of the studio’s most interesting upcoming releases. While we were expecting to see the new IP from the creators of Assassins Creed Odyssey released early next year, it was recently pushed back to a later date. Even though we'll be in for a longer wait, that just means we'll have more time to get excited about this interesting new adventure.

Described as “storybook adventure” set in a fantastical open-world of Greek mythology, with an enchanting painterly style that brings The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to mind. The cinematic trailer gave us our first glimpse of the game’s fantastical setting and a few of the mythical creatures roaming its lush greenery.

Beyond giving us a look at the style it didn’t give us too much insight. Thankfully, Ubisoft has revealed more details on its official website to give us a better idea of the kind of adventure that awaits us. Read on below to find out everything you need to know, from the new release date to story details, and more.

The Gods & Monsters release date is 2020

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

Ori and the Will of the Wisps, the follow-up to the absurdly beautiful Ori and the Blind Forest, finally has a release date: February 11th, 2020. That's a long way off -- we wish it was closer too -- but at least developer Moon Studios has a new trailer to tide us over. It shows the protagonist, a guardian spirit called Ori, facing off against a giant spider, menacing wolf, and other gorgeous but clearly dangerous creatures. The two-minute teaser then ends with a shot of Ori flying on the back of a cute owl called Ku. We expect plenty of intricate platforming and map-expanding abilities when it launches early next year. And, like its Metroidvania (Metroid-meets-Castlevania) predecessor, the game is coming to both Xbox One and PC.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection

Capcom announced today that Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, which was alleged to be called in January, has run into a touch of a snag and won't actually be available until February 25, 2020.

"As many of you're aware, Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection was initially planned for release on January 21, 2020," Capcom said. "However, the team made the tough decision to maneuver the game’s release go back so as to bring you the simplest possible collection of those cherished classics and deliver a game that will live up to your expectations."

The response from the Mega Man community on Twitter has been remarkably supportive. Naturally there's a disappointment, but the broad sentiment appears to be one of: "Don't sweat it." I assume one among the advantages of creating people wait years for sequels is that a few more months don't feel so bad.
